Paver Cleaning & Sealing in Bradenton, FL
Bradenton pavers collect algae, lose joint sand and fade in the sun. We clean them with a surface cleaner at controlled pressure, replace joint sand and, if you want it, apply sealer to slow weeds, staining and color loss.

What happens to pavers
Why pavers look tired so quickly here
Pavers are porous and set in sand, which makes them a good home for algae and weeds. Rain and sprinkler water wash joint sand out over time, and strong Florida sun fades unsealed color. Pool decks add chlorine and sunscreen to the mix.
Irrigation water with iron can leave orange-brown rust stains, and white, powdery efflorescence can appear as moisture moves through the stone.
The process
How we clean and seal pavers
Deep clean
A surface cleaner at controlled pressure lifts algae and dirt, with a treatment for stubborn growth.
Dry fully
Sealer needs a dry surface, so we wait for the pavers to dry completely.
Re-sand the joints
Fresh joint sand, such as polymeric sand, is swept in to lock the pavers and block weeds.
Seal (optional)
Sealer protects color and slows staining. We discuss finish options first.
Finishes
Sealer finish options
| Finish | Look | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Natural / matte | Little to no change in appearance | The most low-key look and often the easiest to get approved by an HOA. |
| Satin / semi-gloss | Slight enhancement of color | A middle option. |
| Wet look / high gloss | Darker, richer color | Can be slick when wet, and some communities restrict glossy finishes. Check yours first. |
Sealer typically lasts a few years, depending on sun, traffic and pool chemicals, and surfaces need re-cleaning before resealing.

Water rules
Water restrictions and paver cleaning
Manatee County is under a drought water-shortage order through March 31, 2027. Annual pressure washing for appearance alone isn’t allowed, but necessary maintenance and preparing a surface for painting or sealing are. Cleaning pavers before sealing is a use the order allows, and we assess algae and slip hazards separately.
We confirm what applies to your property before we schedule.
FAQ
Paver questions
How often should pavers be cleaned?
Driveways often need it every 6 to 18 months, and pool decks every 6 to 12, depending on shade, traffic and sprinklers.
How long does sealer last?
Typically a few years, depending on sun, traffic and pool chemicals.
Why do weeds grow in my paver joints?
Joint sand washes out, leaving gaps where seeds and algae take hold. Fresh joint sand and sealer slow it down.
Can I seal during the wet season?
Sealer needs a dry surface and a dry stretch afterward, so wet-season scheduling can shift. We watch the forecast.
Can you remove rust or efflorescence?
Often, with the right treatment. We’ll tell you what to expect before we start.
