Driveway & Concrete Cleaning in Bradenton, FL
Bradenton driveways get dark and slick from algae, oil drips and orange irrigation rust. We clean concrete with a surface cleaner for an even, streak-free finish, treat oil and rust separately, and confirm the current water rules first.

What’s on your concrete
Common driveway and walkway stains
Different stains need different treatment, so we identify what you have before choosing a method.
Algae and organic film
Dark green or black growth that turns slick after rain, which is a safety issue as well as a looks issue.
Oil and grease
Drips from parked cars that soak into porous concrete. A degreaser pre-treatment helps lift them.
Irrigation rust
Orange-brown trails where sprinklers with iron in the water hit the concrete. These need a rust-specific treatment.
Efflorescence
White, powdery salt deposits left as moisture moves through concrete.
Leaf and tree stains
Tannin stains under oaks and other trees, common on shaded driveways.
General dirt and tire marks
Surface grime that a surface cleaner removes evenly.
Method
How we clean each surface
| Surface | Method | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Concrete driveways | Surface cleaner | A rotating surface cleaner gives an even finish and avoids wand streaks. |
| Oil spots | Degreaser pre-treatment, then cleaner | Lifts oil before the main pass. |
| Rust stains | Rust-specific treatment | Algae cleaners don’t remove iron stains. |
| Walkways and patios | Surface cleaner and detail work | Edges and steps are done by hand tool. |

Honest expectations
What cleaning can and can’t do
- Algae, dirt and most surface stains come off
- Slick, dark patches become safer to walk on
- A clean slab makes later sealing or repairs easier
What it can’t fix
Some damage is in the concrete itself.
- Etched, pitted or spalled concrete
- Old, deep oil stains, which may lighten but not vanish
- Cracks and settling
- Rust that has soaked deep into the slab
Water rules
Water restrictions and driveway cleaning
Manatee County is under a drought water-shortage order through March 31, 2027. Annual pressure washing for appearance alone isn’t allowed, but necessary maintenance and preparing a surface for painting or sealing are. Slippery algae or mildew that a broom can’t remove, and cleaning before sealing, can qualify as necessary maintenance, so we assess your slab before scheduling.
We confirm what applies to your property before we schedule.
FAQ
Driveway cleaning questions
What’s the difference between pressure washing and surface cleaning?
A surface cleaner is a rotating attachment that spreads the pressure evenly across the concrete, which avoids the striping a bare wand can leave.
Can you remove oil stains?
Fresh and surface oil usually lifts well. Old, deep stains may lighten without disappearing completely, and we’ll tell you what to expect.
Can you remove rust from sprinklers?
Usually, with a rust-specific treatment. Adjusting the sprinkler heads stops it coming back.
How often should a driveway be cleaned?
Many driveways need it every 6 to 18 months, sooner under tree cover or where sprinklers hit the concrete.
Is driveway cleaning allowed right now?
Appearance-only annual washing isn’t, but maintenance, mold and mildew removal, and prep for sealing are. See the water-restrictions guide.
